Headless Friends is a digital magazine for creative queers with strange brains. Inspired by insightful conversations with dear friends, it’s a space to explore the intersections of creativity, mental health and queer culture.
For the third issue, I’m exploring pride, prejudice and play with the help of some friends. This collection of four new articles looks at a range of interlinked topics, including building safe spaces, the weight of words, how play benefits the brain, and seeing art as a form of activism.

On several occasions, I have had homophobic slurs flung at me by (presumably) straight men as they speed past me in their silly little cars. Even when carelessly tossed out the window of a moving vehicle, these words carry weight and can leave a lasting impression.
